Critically acclaimed rapper, Lupe Fiasco, has embarked on a promotional tour across the United States. Lupe Fiasco will be performing at Hill Auditorium on April 1st 2011. This concert takes place at the University of Michigan, a school hellbent on preserving inequality in out great state. The tickets for this show were made available to U of M students for a two day pre-sale, with tickets for the general public open Friday, March 18, 2011. As of today, the concert is virtually sold out. They should have said that the concert was only available to U of M students instead of dashing the hopes of many. After spending hours on the phone with U of M staff, a rude woman from the U of M student assembly office maliciously remarked, "good luck with that," when I told her I was still going to attempt to purchase tickets on Friday. I feel hurt and ashamed but I will not give up the fight.
Lasers, I call you to action! Lupe Fiasco always raps about the injustices in our world. Well this is an injustice! Everyone should have an equal chance in life, and U of M is taking that away! Please sign this petition to preserve justice in the world.
